Cold-chain route planning software for refrigerated fleets
YowieTech is cold-chain route planning and dispatch software for refrigerated transport. It was built inside Deliver and Store, part of a refrigerated transport business that has been running since 1987. Every part of it exists because a run, an audit or a customer asked for it first.
When the audit lands, the cold-chain records are already there
The hard part of cold-chain work is not holding the temperature. It is proving the temperature months later, on a run nobody remembers.
At Deliver and Store, a global confectionery brand required HACCP certification before we could carry their freight, and inspects the site annually on top of the HACCP audit. Both the customer and the audit want records, and they want them on request.
YowieTech captures cold-chain detail at the moment it happens: the set point and the actual temperature at departure, who ran the pre-departure check and at what time, the condition of the product, and a delivery temperature recorded against every drop alongside the proof-of-delivery photo and signature. Filter by date range, flag exceedances, and export the lot as PDF or CSV.
To be plain about what this is: YowieTech keeps cold-chain records and exports them. It does not certify anyone, and an export is not a substitute for your own HACCP system or your audit.
What a run actually costs, per kilometre or per mile
Most small fleets price work off a rate card and a feeling, then find out at the end of the quarter whether the year worked. A cold-chain run is the one most likely to be underpriced, because keeping the box cold burns fuel that never shows up on a distance-based rate.
YowieTech costs a run before it leaves the depot: fuel from that vehicle's own consumption figure, driver wages, tolls, depreciation per kilometre, meals and accommodation on longer runs, and your own fixed costs and revenue lines. When the run comes back, enter what it really cost and compare it against the estimate. Profit and loss per run, per week, per month. For the full breakdown of what a refrigerated run really costs — including the reefer costs generic calculators miss — see the true cost of refrigerated transport.
Kilometres or miles, and your own currency. Set them once and every figure on every run and every report follows.
Per-run CO2 figures for the customer who asks
Climate reporting rules are working their way down the supply chain. Large businesses in a growing number of countries now have to account for the emissions of the suppliers they use, which is why the request eventually reaches a small refrigerated carrier who has never been asked before.
YowieTech estimates CO2e for every completed run from the distance actually travelled and the fuel type recorded against that vehicle at dispatch, never guessed and never matched by name. Per run and per customer, exportable as CSV with the emission factors written into the footer.
To be plain about what this is: these are estimates built from your own run data using published emission factors for your region. YowieTech does not claim they satisfy any climate disclosure or assurance standard. They are figures you can hand to a customer who has asked for them.
